Residents of Cochrane are welcome to use any YMCA Calgary facility free of charge.

The Calgary Flames Foundation has committed another $1million to YMCA Calgary for the Calgary Flames Grade 6 YMCA Membership, bringing the Calgary Flames Foundation’s total commitment to this program to $3.25 million. This has been an ongoing partnership and the 2023-24 school year marks their 10th year anniversary.

Meet Samuel Obadero: photographer, former staff, and member of YMCA Calgary. Sam’s journey has spanned from Nigeria to Canada, from IT to photography, and from uncertainty to belonging. Throughout it all, YMCA Calgary has remained a huge part of his life for more reasons than one. 

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, often referred to as Orange Shirt Day, takes place annually on September 30th. It serves as a crucial platform to engage in meaningful conversations regarding the enduring impact of Residential Schools and the lasting legacy they've left.
